Perfect Squares

The Problems :

1. The following numbers are perfect squares. Find their square roots. (No calculators !)

(a) 121 (b) 10201 (c) 12321 (d) 1234321

(e) 12343210246864201234321

(f) 12321024642036963024642012321.

2. The numbers above are all palindromes, that is, they read the same from left to right and from right to left.

(a) Find the smallest perfect square that is a palindrome and uses all of the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

(b) Find a perfect square that is a palindrome and uses all of the digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
